What are the Best WoW Death Knight Macros to play like a DK Elite?

If you want to play your DK at the maximum, you will have to use some of the best wow death knight macros available. Don't wait until you are kicked out of raids, just because of your bad DPS or tanking. Find out how to play a Death Knight like a real elite player:

To unleash a DK's maximum strength, you have to use a balanced key binding and the appropriate macros. I know that sounds troublesome, but I found a shortcut for that. I'll talk about it in a minute, but first, I want to outline a thing or two, about DK macros and abilities, in general.

Abilities to macro as a death knight

A) For tanking:

• Death and Decay. This ability is the most important tanking CD. It's normally an opener, but in case the trash mobs are to tough, it can be inserted in a sequence macro. The same macro should be used for tanking bosses;
• Dancing Rune Weapon. This is also a main threat CD, which also deals some damage. It's best to team it up with your Outbreak, in a macro, for a faster disease application;
• Raise Dead and Death Pact. In case you have to help your healer, a WoW dk macro combining these two is not a bad idea to have. You also save a quick-bar slot.

B) For DPS:

• Pillar of Frost. This is a main DPS cooldown. Combined with a racial ability, like Blood Fury or Berserking you will achieve a better burst:
• Lichbourne. This can be combined with many other abilities, especially in PvP when your need to stay on a target, without being feared, and also to create a DPS burst;
• Icy Touch or Howling Blast and Plague Strike. And of course, any other ability that it's part of your DPS rotation, can be fit in a sequence macro;

Now that you know what to macro, let's see what types of macros a DK should use.

Macro types for death knights

- "use" macros - these are especially for boosting your defenses, improve threat or to maximize damage in a short period of time;
- "sequence" macros - these are meant to simplify your rotation for tanking or DPS. I wouldn't recommend a sequence macro for PvP because in a battle situation you need to improvise;
- "focus" macros - in case you need to kite a target, while damaging other target, it's best to use Chains of Ice on a target=focus macro;

Warning:

If you don't have too much experience with macros, it's going to take you some time to design the ones required for the exact actions that you need. Balancing a key binding with those WoW death knight macros can be even more troubling.
