Where to Find and Farm Elementium Ore - The Best Places

The Cataclysm expansion brought along a new ore known as Elementium Ore. Correspondingly to Saronite Ore from Wrath of the Lich King, Elementium ore serves as a placeholder for Pyrite Nodes.

Legend says Elementium Ore is the hardest metal known to Azeroth, it's even harder than diamond. It's very rare and difficult to find and process. It is generally used in the creation of extremely powerful weapons and armor. The ore and Blacksmith recipe to process it can only be found in Blackwing Lair.

Elementium can be found in the mid to upper range zones that are almost level 82+. This ore will possibly end up being over-farmed as players in pursuit of Pyrite will end up with a ton of Elementium in their bags. This could result in low prices and excess supply on the auction house, but keep in mind that it will take some time before the price of Elementium drops that it's no longer worth farming anymore.

This is due to the fact that the demand will be so high since it is used for Engineering, Blacksmithing, and Jewelcrafting. Players will be trying to level these professions from 450-525 while others will want some of the end game items that result from the high end professions.

The best places to farm Elementium are the two zones: Deepholm and Twilight Highlands.

Deepholm requires level 82 to access and no one should go to Twilight Highlands until they are at least level 84 because this will probably result in more deaths than it will in Elementium Ore.
