What are The Best Professions for a Hunter? - A WoW Hunter Profession Guide

Published on by makro

Playing a Hunter in World of Warcraft is fun. But you need to level up as well and a good profession choice can make the difference here.  Some of them will be great help and others will be a waste of time. So, what are the best professions for a hunter? This Hunter profession guide will help you choose the perfect profession for your WoW hunter.

I recommend you create an alt that you will leave at the auction house. As you gain levels, mail the stuff that you can sell to your alt, so it can sell it for you. This way, you'll focus on leveling. When you're done, log into your alt account and sell your items in the auction house.

It's a good idea to buy the largest bags that you can buy. Always be sure to loot everything unless you already have enough gold. Ship to your alt at the AH everything white or better that you're not planning to keep. The grey stuff gets vendored.

The three skills that allow you to generate gold whenever you want are mining, skinning and herbalism. I suggest you take Skinning because it gives your Hunter the awesome Crit Rating. Herbalism is a heal while mining will give you a health bonus.

If you are rich, then leatherworking is a great profession that will provide you with some excellent gear. If you don't have a ton of gold, then pass over the skills which revolve around crafting. Skinning will give you the raw materials needed for Leatherworking.

To make a small fortune in WoW, it's a good idea to start with a large fortune and focus on leveling up a crafting profession. While leveling, don't waste your time on the crafting professions since they're costly and take up a lot of time. If you must get one, then Leatherworking is ideal for Hunters. You'll be able to produce some nice gear.

Here are some other possible professions for the Hunter class in WoW:

  • Alchemy- It's possible to make a bunch of helpful concoctions that you can consume when it's necessary. You can save a bunch of gold by taking herbalism with Alchemy.
  • Enchanting is pretty expensive to level, but you get to place solid buffs on things.
  • Engineering is okay if you have a ton of gold saved up and want to ride on those Mechanical Hog Moterbikes later on.
  • Inscription was previously a solid money making profession, but glyphs are now learned permanently, so players won't want to buy new ones. If you take herbalism with this, you can save a good amount of gold, since herbs are more pricey nowadays.
  • Avoid blacksmithing and tailoring.
  • Jewelcrafting can be a nice profession that will make you a lot of money if you take Mining along with it.
  • Cooking will allow you to make foods such as Warp Burgers which will buff your Agility stats.

First Aid is a pretty helpful skill to have, no matter what class you are.
