REVIEW of the "Cataclysm Extension" for WoW

Published on by makro

Cataclysm is not very similar to the other two WoW expansions, Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. The last two were mainly focused on giving players many large new areas to frolic in, while Cataclysm provides the ancient kingdoms of the game's launch in 2004 a brutal facelift.

The gigantic and ancient dragon Deathwing has broken out from his prison deep in the earth, and created many earthquakes, major floods and massive destruction. Together with his supporters thinking Deathwing adding the whole world under him.

How many of the World of Warcraft areas changed significantly, and we've got new islands, oceans, jungles and deserts. This means that a lot of game experience from beginning to end not only has been changed, but also clearly improved.

We've got two new races to choose from, goblins and werewolves, and both have their own starting area and its own unique history, you can play through. The first hours as a goblin is simply fantastic fun, fun missions, the crazy driving and kicking the footballs on himself Deathwing.

Even after all the renewal is still majority missions around the world by the well-worn type "kill ten lizards" or "find five wolf tails", but new and exciting types of mini-games spice up everyday life, and makes the gaming experience more entertaining and varied. So-called "phasing" is also used more and more, buying wow gold the world changes around players as they make important missions.

Much of the Cataclysm content is aimed at new players, but veterans also got his. The upper level of experience is raised to 85, and many new "dungeons", "raids" and play areas have been introduced. In recent months, World of Warcraft also had a rebalancing of talents and abilities, reflecting the continuous developments that are constantly taking place.

Other elements of the expansion brings with it a new focus on the guilds, when each of them can now acquire a nice handy bonuses and abilities, and the New Archaeology, the profession - which still seems to have a somewhat unfulfilled potential.

Cataclysm does its best to renew the game, but the graphics clearly show that the "World of Warcraft" begins to draw heavily on the years. Some areas are colorful and detailed, while others are still marked by hard edges and two-dimensional trees.

But the game thrones undoubtedly still many notches above all other massive online games. Simply because no one else can offer as much diversity, an equally rich and gigantic world and an equally dynamic and entertaining gameplay.

Several other games in the genre have a deeper and more interesting character development system. Some have a richer and more flexible equipment system. Others have a faster and more innovative combat system - but none can match the World of Warcraft availability.

The game has a flow of no other massive online games can match. World of Warcraft pours out of their abundance where others have to Spinks and save. Continuous and seamless progression makes the game almost never boring, and a sea of brilliant tool breaks down heavy overcome barriers that have no place in a modern computer games.

Cataclysm expansion makes all of these key elements stronger than ever. The game has a long way to be perfect, and it is always easy to find a minor edit is dissatisfied with - especially in a massive online game. However, there is a feeling I left with that overshadows all others: It is nice to play World of Warcraft!
