How to Choose Class in World of Warcraft Cataclysm

Published on by makro

Blizzard designed the classes of World of Warcraft in such a way that they complement each other. However, the abilities and talents of each class are constantly being modified, so how can you choose the best Cataclysm class for you?

The nice thing is that World of Warcraft has fewer classes than many other MMORPG's. Every race has their own advantages and disadvantages that make them usable for different classes, roles, and usability in group or single situations. Both factions include: Warrior In raids and group quests, warriors usually fall into the tank category, meaning they build up the most threat or "Aggro" to the other enemies and take the most damage. They can also be used to do as much damage as possible in the damage-per-second or "DPS" role. Warriors are fun to play. They don't have a lot of extra buffs or spells to worry about in game play, and they're WONDERFUL when you're playing in player vs. player mode. Paladin

Paladins can throw up a shield in the middle of battle, making them immune for up to 12 seconds. During this time they can heal themselves back to full health or make a quick escape with a hearthstone back to their home locations. Warlock Warlocks are viewed by some as being "unbalanced" because of some of their abilities. Warlocks are great for doing damage over time or "DoT". Also, because of their ability to summon demonic companions, they are ideal for "soloing" or questing on your own. Hunter Hunters are a pleasantly balanced class. They're diverse because they can act as a DPS by themselves, or use one of the pets they tame at level 10 as any of the other needed roles in a party. They can use a pet turtle, bear, scorpion, or other type of pet as a tank while using their ranged attack and do the damage from a distance.

People don't actively seek them out for raids, but they can certainly be useful. They're also great in PvP combat situations. Rogue Is is an up-close-and-personal class. They have to be right next to their targets to use abilities, but they are much more dexterous and quick than other classes. Rogues specialize in stunning their quarry and keeping them frozen. They're free to slice and dice until the enemy is dead.

Rogues are lots of fun to play, and keep you on the edge of your seat. Priest Priests are important because they make sure everyone stays alive in the raid. They are mainly used for healing other plays, which makes it a difficult class to solo with. They are always needed for raids and quests. Mages are a class meant to deal as much damage as possible, relying on spells and ranged attacks to defeat enemies.

Mages aren't the heartiest class, and have the lowest HP (hit points) and can only wear cloth armor. This makes them very vulnerable to attack. Druid Druids are among the most well rounded of all classes because of their ability to transform between a regular form and a beast form.

In beast form, they can do a high amount of damage, but lose the benefits of being armored. Special attacks and damage are a major risk.

Shaman Shaman's were once only available for Horde players, but are now available to both sides (as long as you're playing a Dranei). Shamans share some similarities to druids, but they deal more damage with nature attacks. Figuring out which class is best for you will be a matter of trial and error. If you're a new player to World of Warcraft, don't be afraid to try out each class for a day or two. That way you'll have a good idea of which style you like.

Getting a character to level 80 takes a lot of work, so make sure you like playing yours. It's important to have as much fun as you can.
